Exchanges • • • • •. Hello boys and girls. I am here to give you some info about verge pool mining with NVIDIA cards with multiple algorithms. Well, I only have a NVIDIA 1050Ti in my laptop so that's the card I used to try mining different currencies.

Obviously, I did not make huge profits with 1 laptop gaming GPU, but it was fun to play around with all the different wallets/currencies. If you have an AMD GPU, unfortunately I do not have much to offer you in regard to XVG. There seem to be a certain lack of info about it but there might be someone who can contribute to this post who has any experience with AMD cards. At the same time, I wanted to try out the android ToR Wallet as well, so I have created a new address in the wallet to receive the mined tokens. So, let’s get started! Download notepad++: It’s not strictly necessary however it’s just a much better source code editor than your standard notepad. Even though we will only have like 1 line of code that we have to modify this has colours so yeah.

Worth it for the colours. Download ccminer: This is the version I use, it works fine for me, If it won't work for you for whatever reason, for example you have an older GPU or you don't have the most recent NVIDIA driver, try to install the latest driver first.

IF after that it still does not behave try to download an older version of ccminer. Extract all the files into a new folder, just to stay organised create a new folder for the miner.

I have multiple miners on my laptop so when I started I got so confused with all the different miners and batch files that I had to delete everything and restart the whole thing. Obviously, I separated stuff properly the second time around. When you extracted the files, you will see a few different batch files that start with RUN. We will modify these files to suit our purposes. For this example, we are going to use Zpool as you can mine XVG with all the algorithms here.

We are going to rename one of the batch files to: xvg-x17. To make it clear for you what it’s for. (To mine XVG on zpool using the x17 algorithm) Right click on the file - Edit with notepad ++ The inside should look like this: ccminer-x64.exe -a x17 -o stratum+tcp://x17.mine.zpool.ca:3737 -u -p c=XVG-x17 Save the file. By all rights you are done. When you double click the batch file it should start up cmd, realise that you have an NVIDIA card and start hashing.

For Scrypt algo: ccminer-x64.exe -a scrypt -o stratum+tcp://scrypt.mine.zpool.ca:3433 -u -p c=XVG For Blake2s algo: ccminer-x64.exe -a blake2s -o stratum+tcp://blake2s.mine.zpool.ca:5766 -u -p c=XVG-blake2s I am not actually going to put down the other two possible algorithms here. IF you are interested you should be able to do it yourself based on the info provided above. Think of it as homework.

By my experience x17 is by far the best algo for XVG mining but admittedly I did not make a thorough test with different cards/drivers/miner versions. Now you just have to wait until the pool pay-out which is about every 4 hours. For those of you who are using the Android ToR wallet. Once you have created your wallet it might not update.

You will have to download Orbot and in the top left corner toggle VPN mode, choose Verge wallet from the list and it should work just fine. If you found this little basic tutorial useful and want to leave a small donation, my Verge address is: DBf1po9hsFASk822SVvfeHqQoN4CLskRFP Do not hesitate to ask questions, I should be around and try to answer questions to the best of my ability. Enjoy somatizar • • • • •. If by joining a pool you mean is do you have to register on the pool the answer is no. At least not on zpool or YIIMP. These pools do not require you to register. I have not tried to solo mine Verge.

Pool just seemed too convenient with what I have. With my GPU I get about 150 to 200 XVG / 24 hours. Now you would have to benchmark your Rig/pc/laptop whatever you have, calculate your electricity consumption and such to get an estimated profitability.

I am only doing it for fun and paying a flat rate for electricity so the actual consumption is not a factor. Obviously the amount of XVG I am getting is not much. If you have a dedicated Rig with so many GPUs you will need to find what currency is the most profitable to mine whit the setup you have. As mining different currencies or dual mining actually has an impact on electricity consumption. • • • • • • •. I mine with two 280xs at around 70 mh/s using Myriad-groestl. I have tried lyra2rev2 but only get around 20 mh/s.

There is not much info about how to mine with AMD and it took my quite some time to get it working right. I am at work now but will post a tutorial in about 5 hours with detailed instructions. I make roughly 270 coins a day which after electricity earns me about $1.44, with the value likely to appreciate. I make about just as much mining ETH with much less hope of value going up.
