Hey, I'm Totally new in Burst Coin Mining, i'm Planning to Buy ' 3TB Seagate External Hard Drive' as a start The drive supports USB 3, but i'm going to connect it to an old Mac pro 3,1 which only has USB 2. My Questions: 1- Is it fine to use USB 2 or that would be too slow! 2- How much Burst coins i would make per month with the 3TB! >3- how much Internet Bandwidth is used by Burst coin mining process. >4- any suggested pools to get started with my 3TB. If you use your computer 10 hours for working anyway and keep it running 24 hours, then your power consumption for mining would be: Computer: 24-10 = 14 hours.
Glad to have you and you will love it here. It becomes an addiction lol. To answer your question. 1) USB 2.0 will work however read speeds wont be the most optimal. If possible, definatly try and get usb 3.0 either by upgrading PC or adding a PCI card if on a desktop. 2.) With around 3TB you wont see much especially with all the new people we are expecting to see here at Burst Nation. If i had to guess, i would say around 30-35 PER DAY.
I got this number by calculating that i recieve around 180 Burst per day with my 20TB setup. So a 7th of that puts you around 30-35 however this can change and you might make more and you might make less. 3.) I am not sure about this question, however the only bandwith that is used is when the pool is 'Searching For the plot files' the only transmision of data that is recieved and sent is whenever It 'Asks for a deadline' when it 'Submits the deadline' and then again when it 'Confirms the Deadline' I would say its no more than loading a page each time but dont quote me.
